Cardboard is one of the most valuable of recyclables, if separated and not contaminated. (A minor amount of tape and food residue is okay, including used pizza boxes.)
And note what is and isn’t cardboard, such as PAPERBOARD (like cereal boxes and six-pack wraps), which are recycled with Mixed Paper.
But in order to keep our dumpster from overflowing—which costs us extra—the cardboard must all be FLATTENED, which is different from crushing. (The latter doesn’t really save any space!) Please detach and fold out all flaps.
